Good food, friendly staff, we have been here several times, always a nice time
This establishment was founded in 1852 and is the oldest Restaurant and Bar in Iowa. We were there 6/14 for breakfast and Mike Breitbach, the owner, personally welcomed us. A very personable gentleman. He is the sixth generation of the Breitbach family to operate the restaurant and we were served by one of the seventh generation, Mike's daughter. RecommendedThe food is as amazing as I remember. We chose the buffet and was not disappointed. Best broasted chicken, mashed potatoes and the pies are out of this world. The crust is flaky and tender!
