The food was great. The pie was great. The chocolate cherry sunday was great... (we actually ate there 2 days in a row!) but what was awesome was the amazing woman running the place. Don't settle for any other cafe if you go to Washington island!
What a wonderful place this is to stop for a meal, a snack, or even just coffee. The staff are friendly and helpful, the menu is great (plenty of healthy items as well as comfort food), the environment is one of peace and joy, and on top of everything else, dollars spent here go to very worthy causes. If you are interested in kayaking - or even if you're not - there's a wonderful little kayaking "museum" of sorts which is great to explore as you wait for your meal.
