Adopted my dog from the SPCA 13 years ago before they moved to Lake Jackson.. She's the best dog I could ever ask for and is still my partner in crime to this day!
I have adopted and I am a foster. The people here are very caring and friendly.
I adopted a cat a couple weeks ago named Mulan. I am glad I did. All shelters get overwhelmed by trying to save and care for all the animals they get. The volunteer that helped me was a very nice lady that was trying to help many of us that were there that day. All shelters that experience full to capacity should offer low cost adoptions to clear the shelters. I had recently lost my Siamese cat due to failing health. Adopted Magneto (formerly Mona) on Saturday and the staff were so caring and helpful!
I went to this SPCA earlier this year, and picked up a small grey striped Tabby kitten. She was not yet spayed, but they provided that and her first shots for a very small fee. She is a wonderful addition to our household and well behaved. I highly recommend this center!!
The staff there are nice. My grandma got her cats from there. and I have a blast while volunteering.

Free adoption is fantastic. The initial cost in some shelters as high as 150 is prohibitive for many. Its sad all the dogs and cats killed. I fully believe accessibility is essential to saving lives. In rural counties in NC... THE FEES ARE LESS ...about $25.00....thanks
They are some of the sweetest, most caring people! The animals are sweet and so loving. I'm fostering at the moment, and the staff were nothing but helpful with my millions of questions!
I am in TN but a TEXAS girl by heart....anyone who helps animals is OK by me. ADOPT, don't shop!
