I have been going to eye specialists since I was a small child and I believe Dr Braun is an excellent eye doctor. I trust her judgment and find her diagnostic techniques and testing to be thorough and appropriate. She also explains procedures and options well. And contrary to a couple reviews I have read Dr Braun never pushes surgery— or any measures beyond what is needed. Yes her office is slow moving but she is well worth the wait! I am just delighted another doctor referred me to her.
Poor diagnosis, staff never responds when your situation is getting worse and then end up sending you to ER!!!! For regular eye visits, its a conveyor belt but ok. For any complications, find someone else.
Good doctor, but be prepared to spend half a day for an appointment. Nothing moves quickly here! Sometimes left sitting in exam room for long periods of time after each test so that I thought they had forgotten I was there! This has been my experience with every visit.
She is quite dismissive of you during exam rather ignores you and your questions. Feels like an Assembly line. Disappointing.
I disagree STRONGLY with the negative review that Dr. Braun is "pushing surgery." I've seen her for years and find her warm, concerned, and highly competent. Perhaps the reviewer didn't like the truth she was told.
If you’re desparate, go to Dr. Braun; if not, go elsewhere. She’s ultra focused on pushing surgery. She’s not interested in your thoughts or feelings. Just pushes you to get surgery WITH HER. I got a second opinion at the Wilmer Eye Clinic—Johns Hopkins. They said the surgery she was pushing wasn’t necessary.
She is amazing! She has been taking care of my eyesight for over 20 yrs. I love her so
I have seen Dr. Braun several times. However, the last visit wasn't so respectable. The front desk receptionist Natalie was very unpleasant and unprofessional. Talking about your co-workers in front of patients is not very professional. Then Terri who was doing visual field testing did not know how to use the equipment. So, the next time I'm hoping the office will be better prepared and more professional. To the staff members who were knowledgeable keep up the good work.
Dr. Braun is great and very knowledgeable, but the office is so poorly run, it's not unusual to wait an hour or longer to see her. It's hard as a working mom to carve out two hours for what amounts to 15 minutes with the doctor.
