We are one of the oldest Memorial Designers in the San Fransisco Bay Area. Since 1897, we have been carving stories of loved ones in stone. Our family serving your family, the way small family business has always been. We have designed, engraved, delivered and installed 10s of thousands of memorials from Santa Cruz and San Jose to Oakland, Richmond, Los Gatos, Hayward of course and everywhere in between.

We loved working with the team at Mattos Monuments, Inc. - especially Ali Vega Atwell. She was patient with us throughout the entire process and did a beautiful job designing our father’s gravestone. I highly recommend Mattos Monuments! You will not be disappointed.

My experience at Mattos was excellent. It's not easy buying a headstone for someone you love and have lost. I lost my 24 year old son and I was dreading the process of getting a head stone. When I walked into Mattos, Ryan greeted me with a warm smile. He was friendly, empathetic and extremely knowledgeable. He also had great design ideas.
