I highly recommend going elsewhere. Against my better judgement (and only because of proximity) I took my daughter here. We ended up having to go to a baycare ER the following morning for an issue they NEVER resolved, despite false documentation by multiple staff members. Poor follow up from risk management. Talk about wishing you had made a video while leaving the hospital! Save yourself the stress, pain, time and money. I'm currently paying two ER bills for something that should've been fixed the first time.
2nd time in six months I’ve had to seek assistance at BRH Emergency Room. Excellent care, everyone I came in contact with was professional, courteous, and caring. I received immediate care and pain relief. I was admitted for observation, and was very happy with care I received from B2 Med staff. I would highly recommend BRH.
I went to the ER because I was extremely sick. I had the flu and double pneumonia. Everyone was nice and listened to my concerns except the lab technician in the ER. I have cataplexy and while in the lab I knew I was about to have a full body collapse, cataplexy attack. My body warns me when one is coming. I asked to be laid down. They told me no. I said please I need to lay down. Again the man and lady said no. I kept asking for help. Finally I was in a full body collapse. This means I cannot move my body. I do not have con... read more
I urge all of my friends to send your loved ones to another hospital. If it was a matter of life and death, I still would encourage you to go with the risk and ask to be transported to any hospital but this one. Upon my arrival into the pediatric ER, I was told since I would need blood drawn and a ‘workup’ done, they needed to take me to the Adult ER- on the other side of the hospital. This was possibly due to understaffing and incompetence of doctors that has piled up multi...Continue Reading
Dr. Cheema checked my daughter out lastnight. She has been sick for about 3 days prior, we had taken her to after hours with no luck in getting help. So we took her to Brandon Regional Pedi ER. We asked for her to be swabbed for the Flu & RSV. We waited for 3 hours in the room without anyone coming to check on us. My husband asked when will we know something & the dr came in apologizing that the lab was taking forever. He said she was negative for Influenza a & b but RSV rest was still not back. He said we could leave & they... read more
Well Mom has pneumonia again. She had a severe nose bleed last night that we couldn't get to stop so I called 911 to get her to the hospital. By the time the paramedics had got her to the ER the bleeding had almost stopped but Dr. Brown (he is wonderful) ordered a chest x-ray just to be on the safe side (he had taken care of her during her last visit to the ER) and I am so happy that he did because otherwise the pneumonia would not have been discovered until much later and by then it may have been too late. She has been admi... read more
I have never felt so disrespected and mistreated in a hospital my entire life. Profound wait times for basic tasks, extremely rude staff.
WORST HOSPITAL EVER!! Did not hook IV pain drip correctly. All pain meds spilled into the bed. Tried to hold me at the hospital even after my caretaker arrived to take me home. Threatened to have me Baker Acted. I am an attorney and I plan to follow this up with the medical board after the holidays.
