Dr. Scanlan is the best. The office staff and Marie are wonderful to deal with. I cannot say enough good things about these folks.

Brandon family medical is an absolute joke! I took my elderly father in for an appointment and am told I need all his information "DL insurance card etc...) before he could be seen. Granted he's been going there for awhile so I didn't bring them. So I go home and get it and when I get back they tell me 3 times his normal fee because they are now florida hospital. Why wasn't I told this in the first place?!?!

Summerfield front secretary denied me service to the Doctor unless I pay a co-pay. She argued with m that I did not have co- insurance. I paid the amount she gave me thinking I would call the insurance and my money would be refunded. My next visit was the same. I became very upset and began shaking. She charged me another fee and insisted I pay or I could not see the doctor. I called my insurance and was assured I had coverage. They have paid my bill, but I have not received a refund from either visit. Needs customer service... read more

I never write reviews, but this one is necessary. The front staff for both the Brandon and Riverview office are unprofessional and quite frankly poorly hired. First, on two seperate occassions they attempted to charge me (illegally) a copay on preventative care visit which is included in my insurance. Now, i have became been ill and needed an urgent care visit, so i called to schedule the earliest appointment, and an individual named Tom said he had an availability for me at 1245 p.m today.
