Very Good Bar Food – We have eaten here probably 10 times, always for weekday lunch, so I can't speak to dinner. But the food is consistently good, hot and house made. Favorites are the chicken fried oysters, duck fat popcorn, shrimp and grits with egg and kobe burger, depending who you ask in our group. The fish and chips are the best I've had anywhere, including its birthplaces of England and Ireland. The rueben was a little dry for my tastes, although the pastrami is house cured and delicious, and the well publicized stic... read more

Great experience! – I was invited here for lunch - my first visit to the restaurant. I loved the dark decor - great atmosphere. I passed up the appetizers, but then a friend ordered the duck fat popcorn, and I took a nibble, then another, and another - couldn't stop eating the stuff! I had the Kobe burger and great thick plank french fries - and for dessert the toffee pudding. Yum! I will be going back!

Disappointing – I ventured in for brunch this past weekend; the disappointment was with the food, atmosphere, and most especially the service and value. Of all of those the food did have some things going for it but certainly not worth more than $70 for brunch for 2 people. That did include bottomless mimosas but of all the brunch spots I patronize there is absolutely no reason whatsoever to return here. I had the omelette – fluffy, nice to look at but not very tasty. I had hollandaise on the side and someone must have dumpe... read more

Lumberjacks, Just Because It's a Tavern... – First impression: nice and dark, reminded me of winter. The bar is just as big as the dining room area and looks like a good place to socialize. We went for lunch and saw these pie-sized chicken pot pies. Much to our dismay, they were out of chicken pot pie! We settled for the salmon and the shrimp salad entree. His salmon looked ordinary, and my shrimp salad was very small but delicious. The bread was very small too. Come to think of it, the open kitchen looked tiny. I guess I ex... read more

Poor Service - food ehhh – Food ok, overpriced. Service = terrible. I have had two experiences at BWT so far. The last, Friday night, will be my last visit to dine. The bar and happy hour is suitable, but the service in the dining room is seriously lacking. Our server was not knowledgeable about the menu and absolutely refused to offer any information about specific dishes that we asked about. It was to the point that I wanted to ask for a different server. He acted like we should quickly place our order, and certainly didnt... read more

Fun in your mouth! – Went to Branch Water Tavern for dinner tonight - it was absolutely amazing! The drinks are to die for and very innovative - there's so many options and are perfectly made so that it's hard to pick any of them. The appetizers are delicious - at our table we had the chicken fried oysters, the crab cakes, and the the prosciutto dish. It was excellent and paired the drinks perfectly. The mix of all of the flavors really accentuated the taste of all the drinks, and trust me, we had a variety of drinks from dr... read more
