The Service from the Manager Tim was outstanding. He didn't try to over sale me like i was prepared for . He told me just what i needed and thats it . The mechanics were fast and courteous...I would go back and send my daughter are wife alone because I can trust the Manager Tim not to sale them something they don't need...Definitely 5 stars
Dear Consumer, I cannot attest to the quality of workmanship at this location. I personally never got my brakes done at Brakeway. I will tell you not to schedule your appointment ahead time and plan your day around that. I made a appointment at 11:00 showed up at 10:45. I personally did not believe that I would be next in line, but figured that I would be worked on with-in that hour. No better place to go to! Lamar Nelson, I couldn't describe a better word than commendable at his work, profession, and heart. He took the time to listen to my needs in a way most people wouldn't. The crew is very good and professional as well. My guess is the great management under this company. This review is a review of a Phone call for service provided in Kentucky. The caller at the number 904-619-5771 asked if I would answer questions about my brake service. Since I am in Kentucky I asked why someone with an area code 904 was calling me. I told the caller I suspected a spam call and told no I don't do cold calls. The caller called me a moron, I told him to F'off, he curse me and it went back and forth. MY COMPLAINT is not he curse me since I did the same. Brakes 4 less is a ripoff went there for their 139.00 brake job and instead of getting brakes I ended up with nothing because they kept saying I needed other things that I didn't need for a cost of 459.00. Went somewhere else to a different mechanic and only need brakes just like I said. Do not go to brakes 4 less. Not good.
Terrible work done. 399 dollars spent. Charged to turn a rotor but relaced the entire thing. Charged for hardware that dont exist. Charged for ceramic pads but metallic were used. Found this out after they started rusting up my alluminum alloy rims. Then upon further inspection when they removed the rims they used a socket too large to fut the recesses for the lugs and reamed, scarred and damaged all 4 rims. Never said anything to me about it. I will never go back and urge everyone else to steer clear of this place.
I took both of my cars here, both were destroyed by these crooked sob's. Both had to be taken back and reworked, they rusted, overheated, and warped the front rotors. Had to have the calipers rebuilt again on 1st car and ended up with a $400 2 wheel brake job with rotors that can't be turned again. Took the 2nd car to a Honda dealer for a certified inspection before taking it back to this place. I wouldn't even give them 1 star, but that is not an option. I had all new rotors and brakes replaced by them. Shortly after my brakes were already squeaking. I went back to the west Ashley location( for them to forget about my car all day) I finally had to call them only for them to say no one had even looked at it. Called and made an appointment for my Mom based on their TV advertisement of complete brake job for $139. My Mom called me from the shop and of course it was the typical bait and switch. The new price was almost $300. I spoke directly with the mechanic myself and he gave me some BS story about $139 just covers the pads and he can't guarantee to stop the squealing, blah blah blah.
