I'm married to a doctor. I've dealt with some serious cancers. And I'm old enough to have seen plenty of doctors in my life. But foot issues FREAK ME OUT! But I was in so much pain that I couldn't wait any longer. Got referred to Dr. Schaeffer buy a friend, got the appointment quickly, didn't have to wait at all at his really nice office (and personable staff) then met the doctor who chatted and engaged instead of typing in the computer, which seems the norm now, to distract my as I freaked out during a little procedure. I first saw Dr. Schaffer’s associate and was told I have a Plantar plate tear. The office scheduled my 4 week follow up appointment with Dr. Schaffer. When Dr. Schaffer walked in he immediately started talking about surgery. He did not give me any alternatives to surgery. I was told initially to tape my two toes together, which I had been doing for 4 weeks and now come to find out, through hours of research, the way the doctor taped and instructed me to tape them, was incorrect. Experience was Awesome! Office easy to get to. Convenient hours. Staff Receptionist Ashley and Medical assistant Michael Both helpful and compassionate. Dr. Schaffer was professional and personable to my Daughters problem. Spent time and Explained everything very clearly. This Mom was very happy ??
Dr. Schaeffer and Kellianne in the Hillsborough office are just amazing! The first time I went to the office, I was treated like they had known me for years. Dr. Schaeffer is very friendly, kind and gentle with giving cortisone injections. Kellianne has been the person who greeted me each time and brought me to the exam room and she is just as sweet as can be. Bedside manner in this office is superb. I highly recommend!
Dr. Schaeffer is Fantastic thorough compassionate and a Gifted surgeon. He has worked miracles with my feet. I Highly recommend him. His staff are excellent.
Dr. "B."- saved my Life!! Working Continuously on my feet for over 20 years I Endured severe pain for years. Finally having enough, I visited the family foot & ankle site and made an Appt. From the first time meeting Dr. Schaefer to my 3rd Successfull Surgery just this past Friday the 9th of June, I have been Nothing but PAIN-FREE!!!!... and, I can honestly say,.. once being ashamed of my feet?.,, I am Now Proud of the way they look!!..DR. "B" made me 'FEET-VAIN'!!!!

Dr. Schaeffer is a fabulous doctor. He patiently waited for me to get through my list of questions regarding my foot pain. He was very knowledgeable about the treatment options for my heel pain (plantar fasciitis). He is very approachable. I highly recommend him.

i went to the office 3 times for pain -gave me cortisone shot after first visit and told me that i would have to return because this wouldn't do it. went back for the another shot because the first one seemed not to be put in the right place because it didn't do anything. the second one seemed to stiffen one of the toes that pushed up the other toe to be more of a hammer toe. Gave me yet another shot after being cynical that i just need to take my anti inflammatory and i would be fine.

When we use Cortisone injections, it is only one part of a treatment plan. There are other components to the treatment plan to ensure you are getting out of pain. I am more concerned to hear the injection is causing you pain.
