Boyd and his wife Kate Moody Boyd were large landowners and a prosperous farming family. They had many hundreds of acres of land from the present location to further up Hemphil Road. Amazing experience year after year. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The tree selection is plentiful. Love the free cookies and hot drinks. Tree cutting at Boyd Mountain is a family tradition for us that we plan to continue with the grandkids.
This is one of the best places to buy a Christmas tree in Haywood county. The people, the service, the family are all professional and extremely helpful and the trees are very beautiful in all shapes and sizes.
Trees with the same color ribbon stand side by side. Prices vary within those trees. Same height but they charge for fullness or how a tree is shaped. One tree was $85, the other $125. Have bought many trees over the years ( not here) and same colored ribbons were the same price.... Also no assistance available for older people or those with babies UP the steep hills. Will not go back and am shocked as this is supposed to be a family business.
Once again another fantastic trip to Boyds. Everyone is always so nice and helpful. We finally decided on our perfect tree with the approval of the kids haha and didn't even have to wait 10 minutes for the guys to come cut it for us. Oh and the hot chocolate and cookies are always a hit with the kids. Thank you Boyd Mountain Christmas Tree Farm for all you hard work and dedication.
