The place was completely gutted in 2006 and was rebuilt again. The restaurant is famous for its wonderful oysters, seafood platter and shrimps. It takes pride in using the freshest ingredients and the catch of the day is always worth trying out. You can also book private parties at this venue.

Great place to visit and the restaurant was friendly and seafood delicious!
Definitely a must visit when in Charleston!! The steamed oysters are worth the trip!!
We were blown away by this place. On the outside it doesn't look like much, but the food was good and it was definitely not a touristy destination. Very basic but lots of fun.

I go to Bowens everytime I visit Folly. Love the fried shrimp and the view is the best, you can watch dolphins while you eat

Over rated. Food was cold and did not care for attitude of bartender/manager he must of missed memo on southern hostility.
