I really enjoyed the chicken and waffles. Some on the best white meat chicken that I have had. The sides are bland. A little bit of seasoning during the cooking process would go a long way.
I showed up at the beginning of lunch and was escorted to the up stairs area. I ordered an appetizer and main course. After receiving my appetizer it would be another 45 minutes before I received my Chicken and waffles. I asked why it was taking so long for my order and I was informed that someone forgot to print out our ticket and give to the cook. It was more or less of what I expected .. it claims southern cooking with modernness the collard spinach dip was great I would definitely order that again .. but I order the monteCristo with the mac and cheese and the mac and cheese was not at all southern at all.. Needed more cheese and no flavor it was bland .. my wife ordered the shrimp and grits and she had to put salt and pepper because it was bland .. and the grits were too lumpy..
Food excellent. Price reasonable. Food delivery took a while but we weren't in a hurry. Delightful server. Rooftop dining as well as first and second floor indoors. We had the country fried steak and salmon.
The service was great! The decor of the restaurant is unique, but I love it, and the food is delicious! From the moment my fiance and I walked in we were impressed. Our host was kind and smiling at all times. Our waitress was prompt, attentive, and checked on us regularly and Greg, the owner was sociable and sure to inform us that anything we needed not to hesitate!
