Boulevard, launched by Nancy Oakes in 1993, has since been at the forefront of the San Franciscan dining scene with accolades aplenty to prove. The Embarcadero institution is a definite must visit when in the waterfront area. The historic Audiffred Building it calls home was the lone survivor in the aftermath of the 1906 earthquake. American regional cuisine is inventive without being pretentious and boasts French culinary influences. This restaurant is my love after I visited there 6byears ago. So I deliberately included the visit to this restaurant this time in my itinerary. Love the ambience, the people and most of all the foods there!
I was visiting San Francisco for work and was recommended this restaurant. It has beautiful views of the bay bridge and the food itself is an experience!
A great restaurant. I enjoyed the food. I will return.
The food is spectacular, but the service is why I will go back.
Absolutely loved it. The place is beautiful, very old world and traditional. The food was fantastic and the cosmo was one of the best I have ever had. We sat at the bar, which gives a great view of everything. He bartenders were more than friendly and made our evening. Highly recommended.
The food and service were blah. Fish was overlooked and the gnocchi were simply boring. Both dishes lacked flavor. The server was nice but lacked any personality. My wife and I enjoy dinning in SF but will never come here again.
Great ambiance (pretty restaurant). The server was adequate (boring). We have eaten at many restaurants in San Francisco but the food at the Boulevard was such a disappointment. The Sea Bass lacked flavor and was lukewarm. My husband's Gnocchi was bland also. The dessert was so dry - and it was sundae, by the way. We were looking forward to dining here but will not be back.
Truly exceptional service from friendly staff with fantastic senses of humor and food to die for. Get a counter seat and watch all the action in the kitchen if you're a foodie- it's like watching poetry in motion!
All our food was delicious and presented beautifully. Service was just right. Always there when we wanted them without even needing to look around, but not in our way ever.
