Carpeting on every floor is worn out and appears to be dirty/dingey. Every floor has tacky and old decor, and every floor has its own musky smell mixed with some cheap floral chemical cleaning product. I think the landlords may want to invest in some better carpeting at least, and definitely invest in an updated elevator. The sounds they omit are off-putting, and the "blankets" hanging on the elevator walls are unpleasant.
