Great family friendly atmosphere and most of all, Mark & Cheri are awesome business owners. They take pride in their Bed and Breakfast, canoe & kayak’s are always in good repair. I know several people who go back every year and sometimes more to get away and have fun. The rooms are recently renovated and larger rooms were made with private bathrooms. We stayed at Gates Lodge for a long weekend and asked them for a canoeing recommendation. That’s how we chose Borchers. Very pleased! People are ultra friendly and organized and informative. The buildings and equipment are top notch. Many liveries I’ve frequented are old sheds with aging equipment. Not the case here! Would definitely recommend this establishment and hope to come back for a color tour float this fall.
We had a fantastic experience with Borchers today! We enjoyed the 4-hour Stephan’s Bridge trip. Friendly service! We will be back!
B&B room was clean and spacious, and the balcony overlooking the river was a great place to watch the thunderstorms that rolled through during our stay. We were grateful to be right on site so that when the weather did break we could quickly arrange a trip, walk down to the water, and hop in a kayak. We did the shortest trip due to the weather (and kid attention span) and this stretch of the AuSable is a peaceful, easy paddle. Our four-year-old can’t wait to try it in her own kayak.
We stayed at the B&B and took kayak trips through their livery. The B&B room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
