It's a great place. The staff is kind, knowledgable, friendly, courteous & as expedient as they can be in a busy hospital. My knee replacement was a very positive experience.

Let's start here ~ Boone Hospital has saved the lives of my father, grandfather, and multiple other friends and family. Now, I can say a wonderful team of professionals has given life to my son and given the best care we could have possibly asked for to my family. We just returned home with our new son from Boone Hospital and without qualification every person we encountered was professional, competent, and friendly. The small army of doctors are wonderful, but the entourage of L&D RNs are just incredible. A wide range of pe... read more

Checked into ER with my husband at 12:38 . Two and a half hours later we were still waiting. I went to the nurses station to see when they would be seeing my husband. A man behind the desk looked at the big board on the wall and said, "oh my." He should be see in about 20 minutes or so. One hour later someone finally came in and ask if we need anything. I said, "A doctor would be nice." She smiled and said, "we are waiting for a doctor to be assigned to him." Whatever that meant. Finally, a doctor came in. I am not impressed... read more

The main problem is the smokers at the front door sometimes the smell and smoke is so bad I gag and my husband who is dealing with cancer has to hold his breath when I bring him in or take him home even our vehicle stinks like cigarettes when we leave. It say no smoking campus but that's not true and the smoke and smell is trapped in the revolving door. People also smoke in the garden where many patients go for some fresh air. And the music in the garden sucks could you please put on some relaxing music by some great artists

I love Boone hospital! The staff have always been great and very friendly. I have had two of my babies at Boone and have never had a bad experience. The garden is my favorite part. It's the perfect place to wait and so peaceful.

No air-conditioning in my room and no control over the heat. The commode was spraying water upwards when flushed and leaking all over the floor. The first RN to welcome me to my room told me that I didn't know what I was talking about when I told her my IV came out when she pulled on my arm. Then as I was getting situated in the bed she pulled on my catheter and the got rude when I asked her if she knew what she was pulling on and how that felt. On the plus side....I didn't have to see her anymore after that and everyone els... read more

I generally hate being sick or hurt enough to go to hospital, cannot say that on my surgery stay. Prep arrangements, organization, reception for the day of surgery were steady, thorough, notably quick. Staff in Orthopaedic ward were attentive, genuinely concerned for my well being and bent over backward to assure my stay was as pleasant as possible. Gotta love the nurses and techs on the the fifth floor!
