I always had a bad taste in my mouth about hospice because of what happened to my grandparents 20 years ago however I just use hospice this past two weeks for my dad and they were amazing. A nurse named Brenda Jackson came out and went above and beyond her duties, she helped me in ways that I could’ve never imagined a nurse would help me and the Social Worker went above and beyond his duties and help me get something done for my dad that I didn’t think of been done I want to thank the hospice team for helping me in this grea... read more
I highly recommend this hospice. In this hard season of life Compassus hospice has been wonderful. Nurse Freda was especially helpful answering all of our questions . She was so knowledgeable and compassionate. She instantly made us feel at ease.
My husband had Alzheimers Disease and received the best of care at home with the weekly nurses checks and aides 3 x week for bathing and dressing for several years . He also stayed in their Hospice House for respite frequently and again was given compassionate professional care so I could have a few days vacation. I will always be grateful.
My mother was only at Hospice for 5.5 hours before she transitioned however the staff (Kim) was VERY respectful, showed sympathy and empathy and gave me the most detailed update possible. She was VERY patient with me as I asked all of my questions and never rushed me. Once my mom passed, although she had only been there a short period of time, you could hear the pain in her voice when she called to inform me that she had transitioned.
