I made the mistake of trusting the high reviews. I'm not faulting the technician here but rather the company seeing an opportunity for greed rather than trying to fix the problem. I have an older heating system in my house and it uses a modern smart gas valve. It's a $300 - $400 part that can be bought online. They quoted me around $300 for the part plus labor.
