I work remotely, so I spend a lot of time in cafes. From my experience, I can confidently say that Bollo's has the best coffee and treats in all of the New River Valley!
Old school coffee shop and craft bakery. Amazing selection of tea as well. Like most coffee shops today most of the chatting is done on digital devices, but there are sometimes folks with the desire to chat in real time/real space. They have gluten free items most days for that special person in your life.

I wanna give Bollo's 5 stars. They went above and beyond to help my sick girlfriend on her birthday today. I live 2 hours away in NC and bae lives in Blacksburg, so I needed a place in town to deliver a bday cake and flowers to my flu-ridden queen. Not only did Bollo's write "Happy Birthday" on the cake, they also wrote a note to her, gave her a free coffee which I didn't even ask for, AND agreed to go buy flowers for her and just charge it to my card. These peeps are the real deal.
I stopped by the booth at Steppin Out on Saturday because my daughter and I wanted a little sweet treat. We got two chocolate chip cookies and an almond cookie and I hate to say it but they were the worst cookies I've ever wasted my money on. They were hard as BRICKS, I mean this is no exaggeration, they were so hard you couldn't even break a piece off yet alone bite them. Such a disappointment and a waste of $2.50.
