About this business

Founded by Dirk and Harriet Boersma as a small vacuum shop in Chicago in 1935, our business later moved to Wisconsin. When a customer walked in searching for a sewing machine, the Boersmas added a line of Pfaff sewing machines to their inventory the very next day. And so Boersma's Sewing Center Inc was born, and it continues to grow today. My friend and I were there yesterday, making the trip from Kent, Wa. We had ordered an Innova longarm and decided to go look at it before it was delivered. Jack took more than enough time with us to explain the machine, go thru it and get the feel for it. Jack and his wife are lovely people and we're happy to do business with them. I just wish we were closer!
