About this business
Founded by Dirk and Harriet Boersma as a small vacuum shop in Chicago in 1935, our business later moved to Wisconsin. When a customer walked in searching for a sewing machine, the Boersmas added a line of Pfaff sewing machines to their inventory the very next day. And so Boersma's Sewing Center Inc was born, and it continues to grow today. Lots of variety of fabric ..and the staff i is always wonderful if you have questions.. P.S. A friend and I were there yesterday and it could have been a few degrees warmer in the store, even with the sweaters we were chilly..

This was my first trip to Boersma's and it will certainly not be my last! Their incredible full Service shop has everything you need to create incredible Quilts from start to finish. The fabric selection has everything a discerning Piecer could want. The Domestic sewing machine section is amazing ranging from perfect running machines for the budget minded new Piecer to high end choices for the more experienced Piecer and Embroiderer. I love this store! I walk there at least once a week with my 2 boys and they always ask to go in and look at their pretty buttons while I get to browse the amazing and unique fabric selection. I love to buy from local shops for my small business and they certainly have my business forever.
This is one of my favorite quilt shops. The staff is helpful and know their stuff.
