GREAT Brazilian wax – I had a Brazilian wax on 5/23 and I thought it was a great experience. Ask for Jenne - she was fantastic, did a very thorough job and was extremely professional. I will be going back most definitely.
Bikini wax disappointment – I went to this salon for a bikini wax and left disappointed in the result. Although I experienced no pain and the environment was extremely relaxing, the blue wax only partially removed my hair. In fact, I needed another bikini wax a week later! My suggestion is to get a new wax. The blue wax looks nice, but it doesn't remove hair like I'm use to. I really don't know how this is one of the best waxing salons. Body Restoration does not allow waxing clients to leave the spa with tons of stray hairs left behind. The area being waxed is NEVER left looking unpresentable. If the hair isn't coming out with each pull, perhaps it's because the client shaved the area and did not allow enough time for the hair to grow to the required length. If it's too short and stubbly, it may not come out. If the blue wax isn't picking up the hair, we always switch to alternative methods, i.e. using a soft wax or tweezing(if we must). Relaxing Couples Massage – We finally got around to using a gift certificate for a Couples Massage. What a great idea! The massages took place in the same room and the massage beds were side by side. The lights were dimmed and we could smell the scented oils and hear the classical music that was playing. My husband wasn't sure if he'd be into it since he'd never had a massage. But after the massages, we were both so relaxed. Each of us felt like all of our kinks were rubbed out. How cozy is that?!
No longer terrified of Brazilians – Okay...So I have been terrified to get a brazillian wax for a really long time. Today I learned there was no reason to be. Day Spa – I have been going to Body Restoration since it was a one-man show. The massages are great - you can get exactly what suits you. I have never had such a great, relaxing massage anywhere else. I have also had facials and waxing done there, and there were top notch. The interior is beautiful and inviting. Try it, you will definitely be happy with this spa!!!!
BEST WAX EVER! – This is a true hidden gem in Philly for a brazilian wax. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Cara and Jen are very helpful and do a great job. They use "blue wax" which is much less painful. It's tough to find parking in the area so be sure to give yourself plenty of time- or they will charge you for a missed appointment.
disappointing – I went in for leg/bikini waxing, and did not feel like I was welcome at all. I felt that the lady doing the waxing didn't even want me there, and that I was bothering them. The weird boy behind the counter made me feel the same way. He was on the phone while I was leaving (I was just trying to pay my bill), and he never got off of it, as well as making me wait while he was talking, and making it clear with body language that I was being a pain by standing there. About a month ago, we received a review entitled, "Could Have Been Better". Since then, we have especially been on our toes ensuring each client is greeted warmly and serviced on time in a comfortable manner. Clients are free to access the refreshment station which is self-serve. It contains lemon water and a selection of teas. Bottles of water are in the fridge. Best Brazilian wax – Cara is fabulous, she made me feel totally at ease. She did the job quickly and thoroughly and with as little pain as possible. I will never go anywhere else for a brazilian. You're in good hands here!
Love it! – I went here the first time for a body wrap. The spa has a great atmosphere, I immediately felt relaxed. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Pam did my wrap, she is so sweet and didn't make me feel uncomfortable in any way. Overall it was a wonderful spa experience
