Had some extra time on my way into work this morning, so I decided to stop in to the Columbia Pike location for breakfast, since I’ve been there before and liked the food. The diner was not very busy at the time, most of the staff was calmly chatting amongst themselves. I sat at the bar and looked through the menu, none of the staff even bothered to ask if I wanted a cup of coffee or anything while I decided. When we come to the DMV area at least once a year from NC, we always stop here for breakfast. No matter how long the line we wait. They have the best pancakes, French toast and egg combos, you can’t go wrong here!
I am writing this as a message and not posting it on the main page on Facebook because I have met Chris and he seems like a nice person who cares about his business, staff and employees. I grew up in the Northeast where diners are plenty and serve everything you could possibly want in quantity and with decent quality. My one and only experience with Bob and Edith's will be my last. A quick dinner on a Saturday night was a waste. Service was so strange, our server returned 3 times before we even had a chance to look at the menu. The special was a hamburger deluxe. Great service and good food, this place is small so I’d imagine that on the weekends it would be very busy. I will definitely be visiting again
Bob and Edith's is a staple of Arlington and is home to that classic diner feel you will appreciate and love. It's charm also extends to their prices as one of the best but cheapest eats that's open 24/7 without sacrificing quality.
Cheerful and friendly even at 6:30 am! I ordered the walnut waffle and bacon. So delicious! The bacon was perfectly crispy and they gave me a whopping five slices with my order.
Although food and service are typically good, yesterday the service was pisspoor and lacked professionalism. Slow and inaccurate. Definitely wouldn’t recommend at this point with the service I received yesterday 👎🏼👎🏼
