Best Manhattan stripe I’ve ever had. The oysters are phenomenal and the one lb lobster was dry very good. We went on our honeymoon and will return again someday.

Definitely the best restaurant in the Traverse City area. The atmosphere is quaint and cozy, the food and service are top notch, and the sunsets are AWESOME!

Had a terrible experience. Was treated poorly by wait staff who rushed us out of the restaurant, didn’t refill any alcoholic beverages, never checked on our meal that was cold and over cooked
We visited from Gaylord, MI on Feb. 28 for Traverse City’s 2018 Restaurant Week. Dinner was superb and Walter, our server was outstanding! We particularly enjoyed the specials offered on their oysters on the half-shell and the tiger shrimp along with the fixed priced menu selections. We’ve never been disappointed in a visit to the Boathouse - one of our favorite Traverse area restaurants.
