Worst place to camp with a camper/trailer. Spots are too small. The pavilion is set up to be on the back side of the camper. Personnel don't care how people park. The people next to us parked sideways in front of their pavilion, so when we stepped out, we could literally step onto their bumper. Will never come here again!
Great day trip. If you like taking pictures a great place to go. We had a great time for the short time we were there. The Big Tree was special as a ex co-worker who I worked with also worked for the park at one time and took care of the big tree for many years. His ashes are scattered there.
This is one of our favorite state parks. Very well maintained and the staff is very courteous. The campsites in the woods are nicely spaced so you are not right up next to your neighbor. Have not stayed on the water. Nice bird watching.
Had a great time. Which we could stayed longer. Hope to go again.
Its awesome, we enjoy the stay. Christmas 🎄 at Goose Island.
