Great place for family fun, fishing, and a little R&R. Be coming here since I was a kid. Now my kids get to enjoy it too.
Unreal to think the huge tree in this park is so old.
Our site was right on the water (premium with water and electric). Although the Park was at capscity, it was completely quiet at night. We left the fly off our tent so we could see the stars at night. We went crabbing at night (catch and release) and my daughter dropped in a fish when we let them go. The crab immediately grabbed the fish and she photographed him eating the fish. We did the birding walk Saturday and were very impressed. Everyone was so friendly and the park facilities were immaculate. We will definitely be going back again!
I love Goose Island my mom has pictures of me by the water before I could walk and we have been going there since then
