RecommendedI had my very first mammogram today. To say I was a little nervous would be an understatement. The lady who did it for me, which I unfortunately did not catch her name, was beyond wonderful. She was so patient, kind, understanding, gentle and did everything in her power to keep me at ease. I seriously left there wondering why I had put it off for so long. I’m sorry I don’t know her name but BMX you have a gem working for you. All medical professionals should show the same level of empathy.
Has this happened to you? I had my fist mammogram, and BMX staff told me they needed to take more pictures because they had nothing to compare my first set of images with. My left had more dense fiber than my right. I was ensured that it was part of the mammogram. Hmmmm, now I am getting a very hefty bill that I am required to pay because suddenly the second visit was diagnostic— not preventative. One of my co-worker did warn me that it was their common practice; she had the same experience, as well.
Prices were high even with decent insurance. When I paid the full amount they sent me another bill six months after the initial procedure.
The staff is always friendly and usually I'm n and out of there quickly everytime they c me!
