I am a not-so-recent retiree who does not like being conned by dealership service departments – especially when it is a luxury-car dealer. I recently brought my 2018 Lexus RX350L into New Country Lexus of Great Neck for a 40,000-mile service checkup since they are closer to my home than the dealership where I purchased the car. Boy, was that a mistake. I signed up on-line for the basic maintenance without extras and when I arrived at the dealership, I repeated that to the service agent. During six previous 5000-mile checkups... read more

I am disappointed that I need to write this review, as I hate writing negative reviews. I have been a Lexus customer for many years and have dealt with other dealerships in the past and lexus directly. I was always very pleased with customer service. With that being said, I recently took out a new lease from New Country Lexus of Great Neck on Northern Blvd. When I leased cars from Lexus in the past, I always purchased upfront and paid a couple hundred dollars for the damage waiver, which covers about $5000 in any dents, wear... read more

New Country Toyota in Mechanicville, NY quoted me $503.63 (for labor only) to replace a thermostat and gasket in my SUV. They offered to write off the cost of the part which they were charging $107.26 that I found online an authentic Toyota part with same part number for $51.00. I still have to pay $171.15 for the diagnostic fee. The total amount to diagnose and replace a thermostat in my 2017 Highlander with 45,000 miles would have been $782.04. I did not have it repaired there!

I have been an owner of a BMW since 2016 and of an Audi since 2007. In August of 2020, I purchased a vehicle from one of New Country Motor Group’s dealership—Wide World BMW Dealership in Spring Valley, NY. It was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a dealership. Emblematic of the experience, I took your dealership to small claims court, the judge ruled in my favor ordering the dealership to pay my rental fees (which is far from all the costs accrued), but your dealership has failed to pay the judgment. I am now ... read more

I am very disappointed with the level of knowledge of the techs and the process of fixing a vehicle that comes into this facility. My service advisor was very polite and accommodating, that's about all I can say. The car was towed in for a no start (2009 Mercedes GL320), only to be told that the glow plug module is bad and that is the reason the car is not starting, now I am very mechanically inclined as I do work on cars as a hobby whenever I have time. I knew the glow plug module was bad before bringing in the car but any ... read more

WORST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER No one returns calls/emails in a timely manner When you ask for specific information no one has an answer but when they need information from you, they want it right then. Finance went so quickly I didn't have time to read everything. When you turn down add-ons, they try to manipulate you into purchasing them with snide comments and rolling their eyes. Charged an enormous dealership fee for handling paperwork but can't track down why my registration is taking so long. Tried to blame it on cov... read more

THE GANG THAT COULDN'T SHOOT STRAIGHT! I saw a car on their website and went to take a look but they couldn't find the car on the lot and gave up after an hour and lied and told me the car was sent back to *** for recall repairs. I then asked the sales manager why they don't do recall repairs at the dealership (he did not know the salesperson told me this excuse) and he said that they do perform all recalls at the dealership. Soooo, then I picked out another car, agreed on the price and after an hour waiting for the car to b... read more

Poor customer service. All they care about is taking your money. I took my car for repairs and was told my warranty was expired. Before paying, I told the service advisor, Charles, that I had an extended warranty. He said its too late and its now my job to file a claim. Totally dismissed me and never let me show him the extended warranty. Great job. You just lost a customer.
