I will start this review by saying that BMW of Sarasota stole my money. Now, here is some background.Due to an accident, I was in the market for another car. Having never considered a **** I found a used model on their lot that had good value to it. Because I was waiting on a settlement, I put a $2,500 deposit on the car. Two days later, I find out that my wrecked car was not going to be totaled, so I had to cancel the sale. I was assured that my deposit would be returned to me right away. Guess what? They bait and switch you on the price, signing one price on one paper and the other papers are completely different from what you signed. When you say you don't care about the monthly payment because you plan on paying it off early, Jonathan P. still tries to upsell the packages they get a break on, me the consumer not realizing this effects my bottom dollar and increase the end price of my car until I get home from a 16 hour drive and the paperwork is already signed. We went and made an offer on a car at $17,500 out the door. The saleman who names John R. said: "we can do that". It was almost closing time. My boyfriend told him he would come back in the morning with the check. He came in the morning, and they said they can not do that price. They wanted $20,855 because there were 2 other people showed up and wanted the same car. They used us for other consumers bidding on the car in their lot. Its NOT an auction. We are sorry for any misunderstanding but the deal originally negotiated was a selling price of $17,500 for the vehicle and not an out the door number. Ms. ****** ******'s boyfriend came in the next day to negotiate further on the deal. Her boyfriend did not agree to the numbers we presented. We let her boyfriend know we had other customers that had appointments to view the same vehicle later that day.
