ladies night – Ladies night on Weds was better than the Friday night. The energy in the place is much better than other lesbian venues on Weds night. Music is a mix of hip-hop and some light house. Friday was hip-hop heavy without much dance thrown in. A good mixture of men and women. The atmosphere is conducive to some great house music, but the dj stuck in the hip-hop groove for most of the evening. If you are looking for Miami or NY style dance music, its not here. Blur is real cute – I love this club. Great Music, Great Djs, and awesome bartenders. Good place to get your grove on! Hot dancers too

Strippers have little sense of humor... – It was dark, not gay enough, and the drinks were subpar. The parking was nonsensical, and in closing, the strippers did not have a sense of humor. Gay bar, indeed!

I LOVE THIS BAR – I think blur bar is great, the only place I know where everyone can come play. I felt so welcomed by the bartenders, the music is great. I been looking for a place that wasnt so damn techno & house music. it seems that what they want all the gay people to listen to. Im so glad blur played hip-hop stuff. Its just something different to hear in a gay club. I never thought I would dance next to trannys, l e s b ians, swingers, bi-sexuals and etc all under one roof. you must check it out. BLUR NIGHTMARE – Visting from Vegas my friend time in a Houston gay place and I must say I was very disapointed, I thought it was ladies night all I saw was STR8 boys, hardly any girls, they had a cover of $5 for what? I was wondering.. They had some girl dancing and the girl looked like she needed someone to teach her how to dance and the drink prices weren't anything to run home and tell your friends about, I still have a few days here so hopefully I will find something BETTER...

GREAT MUSIC, WED, THURS, SUNDAYS – If you want something Different on Wednesday night, even thought its ladies night, the boys come out too. The dj ROCKS, he plays all the latest tops 40 hip-hop and dance music, stuff you will never hear at sobe. Thursday night is Drag night but after its over the DJ takes it over once more. SUndays are my fave!! If you love Donna Summer, Gloria Gaynor, Chic, New Order, Madonna anything from the 70's and 80's Dance era this is such the Place. A small dancing and drinking hot spot – I love walking into this tired old shack and discovering the surprise of such a sleek, hot venue to dance and drink. The central location and low or no cover insure the place is filled with hot guys ready to party. The rocker disco DJ on Saturday is a great and hot alternative to the giant dance temple anthems you hear anywhere else. My fav is the trash disco tea dance on Sundays. This venue has had a lot of names and owners but I think Blur is here to stay.
