Liz helped me understand everything about my injury by using language and metaphors that made sense to me. She gave me a variety of exercises that were easy to do at home and throughout the day no matter where I was. it was also so nice to work with a fellow mountain biker who understood how I use my body in my sport.
LizK knows her stuff. More importantly, she has been able to help me understand it too. She's empowered me by helping me understand how my body works (and doesn't work!) and given me exercises that really help and worked with my lifestyle to make sure that they're actually things I'll follow up on. Her no-nonsense ultra clear approach has been enormously helpful. I had been suffering from fairly intense back pain for 6 months and within a week of starting her exercises i started getting relief. After a month the pain was gon... read more
Honestly, I haven’t felt this ninja in a very long time. Body feels balanced and ready for anything I throw at it. The foundation you gave me has opened my mind to more body weight and balance exercises that directly correlate to the activities I participate in on a daily basis. Thank you for that! Liz is a wizard, a true expert on her field.
Sessions at Blue Ridge BioMechanics are a seriously nice breath of fresh air!! Liz’s personalized exercises and attention to detail have been a lifesaver. My chronic back pain has resolved and I have regained control of my shoulder health after just 2 short months. Her approach to physical therapy is fresh and functional and adaptable. Everyone and anyone could benefit from this type of service. Assess and fix your instabilities before they turn into more serious injuries, or work through injuries in very personalized one on... read more
Liz is amazing and has helped me recover from a sprained ankle and get back to my active lifestyle. She knew exactly what exercises to do and not to do to help with the recovery process. Me being someone who wants to always push forward, Liz helped me know when to push and when to take a break :) She has incredible knowledge and was very thorough in explaining why she was having me do specific exercises and how they would help me recover. She’s also great about checking in and answering questions between sessions. Thank you ... read more
I couldn't touch my toes for two weeks Dec 2018. A weekend warrior who cycles/kayaks for fun but sits 40-60 hrs during the week, this shocking reality left me completed depressed over the holidays. In 4-5 sessions, Liz taught me the root of my pain actually stems from under-developed glutes and over-developed quads. Essentially I fire up my legs not my butt and the result is spine not supported as our bodies are designed. She first taught me what was happening and then helped me rehab. She then designed a life-long program s... read more
Liz is extremely thorough and attentive. Her professionalism and humor made every PT session fun. She has a wealth of knowledge and skill set that any patient can benefit from. I appreciate Liz as a professional and a person. She has given me amazing help and even continues to advise me with my issues after moving across the country. Liz is amazing!
Just heard Liz on the Hammer Factor, so I've been exploring her blog posts. Wow, great advice, really useful self-assessment stuff, nice stretches. Most important is a way of thinking about how overall fitness fits together. As a paddler and biker always trying to keep it together and improve, this is like an early Christmas present!
To have a PT that understands that recovery can mean engaging in adventure sports at a high level is key vs. just being able to stand up straight. Liz's empathy for active people sidelined through injury is key but she balances that with the bluntness to call you out when you are just trying to push through pain. While it's still in process the results up to now have been extremely encouraging.
