Best Patio in town. – I like this place alot. ITs pretty chills. They have some Waitress's here that are the bombdiggady bomb bomb!! Then their is the ones I don't really care for. Especialy the old crazy one who should be working in a sinclair gas station. The food is great. But I don't recommend cajun fries. They are pretty unpredictable. I just dont get them any more. Best Ambiance And Down Home Cooking! – Blue Plate Diner was more than I expected, it is quaint, the service is excellent, the food is delicious, the soda's are yummy. It's retro, comfortable and anyone with a personality will fit right in, this place is for people that actually LOVE to dine around others. Thank God for something real, and not just another urbanized run of the mill establishment. I loved the old Wurlitzer type jukebox and all the memoribilia, too!
Usually awesome, had a bad experience this time. – Food is always awesome!! Sometimes a long wait for seating. Most recent time we had a bad experience with an obvious untrained waitress (blonde girl with braces). Service was atrocious. After complaining to the counter girl, she was great and took care of part of the bill. I had the breakfast Chicken Tamale which was AWESOME. My girlfriend had the Biscuits and Gravy. Best Spanish Omlet in Utah!!! – The omlets at Blue Plate Diner are the BEST!!!!! The service is quick and they are very friendly. Other than the parking, this place is great. The fact that delivery is available makes it even better.

THIS IS THE PLACE! – We love this place! Super cheap, SUPER good (LOVE thier eggs benedict, and spicy fries!!! YUMO!) Service is excellent- fast and friendly! Atmosphere is awesome. Perfect in the summer- eating out on the porch! ABSOLUTE 10!! Love this place!
Busy doesn't mean good – We just moved from Los Angeles to the Sugarhouse area of SLC, and thought we would give this place a try. The fact we are old farts and most of the patrons are in their 20s didn't bother us; we just wanted some good diner food. Portions are big, but food and service are just average. Prices are fair.
good inexpensive vegan food – vegan food that is great is hard to come by when not exactly homemade... or its generally really expensive.. expecially when paying for more then one persons. blue plate was a great price when one person is treating the rest out. also its vegan/vegetarian/carnivore friendly... so everyone is happy. the vegan food here i rate as recomended. and my 4 yr old friend that i treated liked the food very much... also the place is kid friendly! always a plus in my book.
vegetarian options – The Blue Plate Diner is is a good place to eat if there are vegetarians and non-vegetarians in your party. They have a good selection of vegetarian choices including a veggie benedict for breakfast. Their hot chocolate is wonderful. I have been there several times and the food and service are consistently good.
