It seems as if every city in the U.S. has a place called the 'Blue Note'. In OKC however, this one is not named after the legendary jazz label. Nevertheless, since 1951 this particular one has provided the sounds of every type of music imaginable, not just jazz. Blue Note is hosting a misogynistic and racist band Black Pussy. The band claims they picked the name because they thought it was "sexy." Misogyny and racism is not fun nor sexy. Disrespecting Black women and exploiting their image is disgusting, and certainly not sexy. Suggestion... Drown every other night?
Great venue, not many ole smoky bars left in this world . All the staff there were very friendly , good folks . Get out and support the bar and musicians that play there. Oh and don't forget to tip the staff, they work hard so you can enjoy an evening out away from the crap if everyday life .
I love the laid back atmosphere
Awesome place, awesome bartenders. Overall my favorite okc spot.
