They are very knowledgeable about the old film cameras. Just don't go into the store and ask about digital cameras because they won't talk to you and will ignore anything you have to say. I grew up with film cameras and wanted my son to experience the joy of working a camera. He went into Blue Moon and had a salesman ignore him when he asked a question about digital cameras. There was no reason for their behavior. No Stars!

Possibly one of my favorite shops in the world. Combine a knowledgeable and friendly staff with stuff you can't find anywhere else, and you get the recipe for spending a lot of money!

I can't say enough about this business. If anyone is looking for anything relating to film photography, whether that's buying, developing and/or scanning film, buying a new (old) camera, ordering fine art prints, etc., use Blue Moon. They also sell fully refurbished typewriters. Their shop is a tiny gem in a charming part of Portland, and is worth stopping just to see. The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable, and they are passionate about what they do.
