I have never had a less personal experience in my life. The want all sorts of personal information and and say you can request they do not sell it but only say they may honor your request. The people out front do not make eye contact and just want to get your money. 3% fee to use a credit card and bill before submitting to insurance. iPad is used to collect all the personal data but not charged so then you have to start over. Dr. Belasco is as straightforward and patient focused as you could ever hope for. I started seeing him about 5 years ago for a scalp condition but he thoroughly checked me out all over and continues to monitor for all the skin problems that arise with someone who spent their youth lying on the beach. More recently I started taking my 97 year old father there as well. Everyone in the office is polite, efficient, and professional.
Super friendly staff, I was in and out in 30 minutes after some New Patient paperwork. I recently noticed something on my shoulder, I wasted no time having it checked out. The doctor put my mind to ease within minutes and was detailed in his explanation and answers to all of my questions. I didnt feel rushed in and rushed out. I would highly recommend this place.
Really thorough doc. We went regarding my partner’s eczema after a year of misery and lasting topical steroid withdrawal symptoms. Dr. Belasco gave her a sample of a systemic immune drug that has worked wonders and helped her through the insurance BS of getting approval. It’s been a godsend of a medication and finally got her relief. Did our due diligence and his advice lined up with generally recognized advice. I have been seeing Dr Belasco of Blue Harbor for almost 10 years now, and I can confidently say he is the best dermatologist I've ever worked with-by far. I have suffered from eczema my entire life. Some Dr's think it is related to years of surfing and wearing wetsuits , but regardless. I've alway dealt with extremely dry, irritated, painful skin for decades.
