Super friendly staff, I was in and out in 30 minutes after some New Patient paperwork. I recently noticed something on my shoulder, I wasted no time having it checked out. The doctor put my mind to ease within minutes and was detailed in his explanation and answers to all of my questions. I didnt feel rushed in and rushed out. I would highly recommend this place.
Really thorough doc. We went regarding my partner’s eczema after a year of misery and lasting topical steroid withdrawal symptoms. Dr. Belasco gave her a sample of a systemic immune drug that has worked wonders and helped her through the insurance BS of getting approval. It’s been a godsend of a medication and finally got her relief. Did our due diligence and his advice lined up with generally recognized advice. I have been seeing Dr Belasco of Blue Harbor for almost 10 years now, and I can confidently say he is the best dermatologist I've ever worked with-by far. I have suffered from eczema my entire life. Some Dr's think it is related to years of surfing and wearing wetsuits , but regardless. I've alway dealt with extremely dry, irritated, painful skin for decades. Went there ONLY to check on basal cell sun spots on my scalp. One year later I have scheduled significant scalp surgery (certainly not with them) for an aggressive squamous cell carcinoma ("SBC") that appears to now be 2 inches length. They were so busy selling their BS red light treatment that they paid no attention to an aggressive lesion, which was the reason I made the appointment in the first place. THE CARCINOMA SHOULD HAVE BEEN CAUGHT! Only lucky it isn't melanoma -- no thanks to them.
I have been a patient of Dr. Belasco for at least five years I am very fair skinned, and the joys that come with that despite the fact that I stay out of the sun sometimes I have some little pre-cancer things that need to be removed. While this is not a fun process , Dr Belasco does his best to numb the area for me before proceeding and taking little breaks in between so that I can breathe.
