Whenever I travel to California, or I'm in NYC I ALWAYS stop into Blue Bottle coffee. More than once per trip, if I can swing it. I absolutely LOVE its coffee. Blue Bottle is by far the best coffee I've ever had. (Please come to Toronto!).
Not what I expected. Thought there'd be seating and a good vibe. Baristas looked as though they didn't want to be there. Cute little place, nice for what it is. Just not for me.

Just returned from a week in NYC. Out of the coffee shops recommended on the web, breakfast @ Blue Bottle at Gotham Market became our daily starting point. Friendly staff, by far the best Café Latte in town has been the guarantee forma perfect start into,the day.

Last Saturday I went to the Blue Bottle Coffe shop in Bryant Park (NYC) and I'm afraid I was treated very unkindly by the man at the register. I ordered a black tea (he never asked my name, but it seems he was preparing a similar breverage for another customer). When the brevarage was ready and placed on the table, I tried to grab it and the blond man at the register said in a very impolite manner "it is for James, not for you."
