PRIME TIME!!! nice beef!! – yes the place is a little loud and noisy, but the quality of the beef is outstanding!! beautifly marbled and dry aged my bone in ribeye was like butter, the sides (carrots, and gnocci) are out of this world!! i dont know what he does with those carrots but they are breathtaking and the gnocci is like eating little creamy cheesy pillows! prices are in line with all of the prime beef steakhouses , big thumbs up!!!
Fabulous food – I absolutely love this place! The selection is fantastic, and they'll cater to your every request. The side dishes were huge and so good. We all shared dessert which was delicious. The staff was very friendly and knowledgable and the bar scene is great on any given night.
NICE – Pretty pricey, but steak was really good, fancy decor, pleasant stuff, noisy and crowded atmosphere - TUNA TARTAR was really really good! I had Osso Buco - braised veal - went perfect with a glass of house cabernet. But in general very good experience
Fantastic Upscale Steakhouse – What can I say? EVERYTHING about this place was great. First off, the steaks. I had the strip (the only cut to get if you can't get the porterhouse). It was perfectly cooked (medium rare of course), charred and salty on the outside and nice and soft and buttery iside. The sides were great (creamed spinach and carrots). My fiance had the Dover sole, which was a perfectly cooked and gorgeous piece of fish. The sauce that came with it was to die for. We also had some salads (which were uncharacter... read more
My favorite – Really becoming (with sister restaurant BLT), one of my favorite restaurants. Very similar to BLT (minor differences only to menu). Served with pre-appetiser warm pate and then gruyere popovers before you get into the food. Steaks wonderful and perfectly cooked with a range of tasty and imaginative sauces, but other dishes (especially braised short ribs, dover sole) are perfect. Large quantities - but save room for the vegetables, which are the real highlights I think, for example perfect mash potato, leek hash... read more
over rated and over-priced...... – This had to be one of the more dissapointing restaurants that we have been to in a long time. At our table we had 3 different cuts of steak but they all tasted mediocre. The sides were good but lets face it, that's not what we went there for. The atmosphere has a lot of potential but the too loud 80's music, paper menu's and a 25 foot plastic full wall menu were turn offs. Service was so, so. Our waiter had attitude. The only thing that matched up to the rating on this place was the price. ... read more
wet seats!!! – i had a greatest moment at this restaurant with my girls.... Not only was the food amazing, but the sommelier had the cutest little tight suit on. I couldn't help but glancing at the kitchen, because all of the chefs were so amazingly gorgeous!!! :) the guy with the mohawk.... not only made my mouth water, but made my seat wet (because the waiter spilled some water :) )... there were also 2 tall guys, one had great curly hair with the biggest smile,,,,, and the other had the most mysterious face....hmmm how ca... read more
Slipping Already – BLT seems to be getting overextended in a hurry and it shows. We really enjoyed BLT steak when it first opened. BLT Fish downstairs is nothing special though always crowded. BLT Prime seemed past its primae already thouhg BLYT himself was there when we dined. Should spend more time overseeing kitchen than schmoozing the ladies. look at the bad reviews Brasserie Ruhlmann has gotten even after he's taken over there as well. The steak at Steak is good but the intense heat used creates and almost uniform char ... read more
The ARod of Restaurant..... – Looks good, has nice stats, but a bit overrated. The prime rib was good, definetely not in Lugar or Mark Joseph's class. The creamed spinach was outstanding but the portion was TINY as was the au gratin potatoes. The deserts are definetely better than your typical NY chop house. The Crepes with Passion Fruit - outstanding. The lemon merengue was bit mundane. Overall, a good dining experience but only go on the expense account - or if The Boss is paying.
