The staff were extremely friendly and made me feel like a true “Good Samaritan.” When I came in today, it was absolutely packed with donors, and I could tell it caused a bit of a slow down. When I asked about wait times(I’m not exactly the most patient of people haha), they assured me they’d work as hard as they could to get me through within a reasonable timeframe, and I could tell they were working their butts off to fulfill that promise! Today, I took my mother to donate blood. She speaks Arabic and only has very basic English skills. I tried to help translate for her, but I was told that she had to answer all the questions herself or she would not be allowed to donate. I asked if they had a translator available, even over the phone, and they said no. I then asked if we could use Google Translate to help communicate, and again I was told no. I had an appointment today at 1:00 PM and completed all of my check-in information online before arriving. When I got there, my ID was verified and I was told to have a seat and that someone would call me shortly. After waiting about 20 minutes, despite seeing many donation beds available and only a couple of donors being assisted, I asked how much longer it would be because I needed to return to work. They are always really nice to me and I've had much more success here than red cross. Also there are lots of gifts and the snacks are good
