Dr. Blistein did an amazing job with my situation. He is an excellent surgeon and knew exactly what to do to give me the best care. He was faced with a challenging emergency hernia surgery due to the small intestine getting trapped and constricted. Incompetent and unprofessional. I had an appointment and reports from an ultrasound had been sent to him about a 3cm by 5cm mass in my hip which looks purple and hurts when sitting and sleeping. He spent 5-7 minutes stating he did not see anything and spoke with no compassion and in a humiliating way, disregarding a patient's desire to know what it could be. I advise anyone looking for a healthcare professional so keep looking, the word "Doctor" is too powerful to be had by Blitstein.

I would recommend Dr. Blitstein. He is an awesome surgeon and has a great bedside manner. I felt very comfortable in his office. He was very easy to talk to and answered all questions. I have no complaints.

Two weeks ago I had Dr. Blitstein perform surgery for a hiatal hernia. My hernia was quite large with, at least, 3/4 of my stomach in my chest cavity. The situation was complicated by the fact that I am in constant afib and am on a blood thinner. Dr. Blitstein was very reassuring in our meetings before surgery and all the possible things he told me might happen as far as pain and other situations which could cause discomfort simply did not happen. I didn't even have the need to take a single.

If you can say a surgical experience was wonderful-this one was! Dr. Blitstein has given me my life back. I have been sick for over 2 years with stomach issues, acid reflux, a huge hiatal hernia, and debilitating-heart attack like pain that was followed with continuous vomiting. Got referred in May; in July he performed a laparoscopic hernia repair and the LINX procedure. I was up walking that night, went home next day, no pain meds needed. Now eating normally with no pain. Life is good.

I am so happy we were referred to Dr. Blitstein for my sons surgery. His confidence set my mind at ease. He communicated with us extremly well and answered any questions we had. Dr. Blitstein is a rare find and I would recommend him to anyone!

Outstanding. Emergency laproscopic appendectomy. He explained, he cut, I was cured. Made me feel at ease before surgery, made me feel at ease getting staples removed. Excellent doctor, highly recommend.

Two weeks ago I had both my gall bladder removed and the Linx procedure for acid reflux done at the same time. I had taken omeprazole for years and was getting concerned about the loss of bone density (a common side effect). Dr Blitstein performed the surgery and it went so incredibly well that I was able to go home that same day. Today I am omeprazole free, pain free and eating with no backlash. I would recommend Dr Blitstein to anyone in need of a general surgeon with great bedside manner.

My experience with Dr. Blitstein could not have been better. I am one of those individuals that has never had a procedure go smoothly in a hospital. I can't help but feel that I "lucked out" this time. This surgeon isn't into scheduling where ever he has an opening, he doesn't compromise his patient's surgical procedure or healing time to get you in and out. If this surgeon needs Robotics for your procedure he will insist on it. Ten stars for this surgeon. Check him out.
