I looked at the reviews before going and thought this Dr. might not be the one I need. But, I am so glad I gave him a chance!!! He is an Amazing Dr. He took his time and went over everything with me and more. He is a very caring Dr. He really explained everything to me and listened to me. He answered all my question. If you are looking for a neurologist to help you get the answers you are looking for YOU must go to him. His office is very clean and the lady at the front is nice and caring also. Please don't let the negative ... read more
I was referred by my primary care doctor for some testing. Dr. Blaik did ask me about symptoms, completed the test and said absolutely nothing about what he saw or recommended. All he said was he would fax his report to my primary care doctor. When reaching out to my primary care doctor, I was referred back to Dr. Blaik - at which time I was told he was not to consult, only to do the tests. Makes zero sense - so I'm being bounced back and forth and still don't have any answers.
He is very conscientious and seems genuinely interested in the welfare of his patients. Appears to do whatever it may take to solve your problem. Bob Nelms
Condescending & chose to speak entirely to my husband about ME, as if I wasn’t RIGHT THERE. Then he insisted in doing an EMG & NCS even though I’ve had plenty of both, testing that could’ve been avoided if he asked about previous diagnostic testing and medical records (which he didn’t). He also repetitively mentioned a treatment with which I disagreed (hello? Patients’ Bill of Rights - my body, my choice) & some diagnostic test I didn’t want. I wouldn’t send my enemy to this dr...
He was very condescending. Only spent a few minutes with me and said he didn’t see anything wrong that it’s all in my “head”. Explains why I’ve been admitted to the hospital two more times for the same neurological event since seeing him. Awful awful awful!!!
Excellent specialist. Very thorough with diagnostic evaluation. Best patient doctor interaction. Careful treatmeny recommendations. Dr. Blaik and his staff gets five ?? stars
Dr Blaik strikes me as knowledgeable, careful, thoughtful, and serious. His demeanor is formal: a traditional, authoritative doc who expects you to listen carefully and follow instructions. I tend to prefer warm docs who welcome questions - but Dr Blaik has won my trust and so I'll put up with his old-world formality. He spent a lot of time with me in the first visit. I believe he's taking the right steps to manage my case.
Great doctor
I waited more than an hour after my appointment time and only saw him for five minutes. During the five minutes, he told me I hadn't had a stroke and that I should have another MRI and MRA even though I told him I already had one of each after my stroke. He barely made eye contact with me and told me he didn't think I'd had a stroke unless I was on cocaine or meth. I don't even eat meat. When I told him I had a DVT history, he didn't even listen.
