Love Blackwater Falls. The place holds wonderful memories for me. One of the places my dad would take me when I went to visit him. My dad is gone, but when ever I go there it brings back wonderful memories of getting to spend time with my dad.
Loved the park but the prices are way to high in the stores and restaurants.
What a wonderful place!! My husband and I traveled from Winchester, VA and spent our honeymoon at the lodge. Easily our favorite trip of all. The staff was super friendly and informative and always eager and willing to answer any question you may have. The Smokehouse Restaurant was absolutely delicious with prices that are completely reasonable. The trails had magnificent views, were easily accessible and were distinguished very easily. My first visit, hopefully not my last. Absolutely beautiful and the Falls were just incredible. I could have put a mattress on the lowest deck and slept like a baby listening to the rushing water.
Beautiful area, fantastic Falls especially during rainy season, and a good work out if you want to do the canyon to the base of the falls I also might be slightly partial to Blackwater as that is where my fiancé proposed to me a week and a half ago almost 3 years to the day of our first visit to Blackwater

It is an awesome place, peaceful, quiet, amazing with many a great memory.
The lodge is beautiful, and well maintained. The campgrounds are quiet, clean, another nature center was our kids favorite place. The two ladies that teach the nature classes are the best! We learned so much about the commonwealth species in and around the park. The canine we stayed in last time was very clean and up to date. We have never had a bad time there. Can't wait to go to the yuneing park!
One of the most beautiful places on earth! Love their cabins and hiking trails.
