The hospital is severely understaffed. People here are forced to wait for days in the ER room, and when you ask for wait times, all you get is ‘sorry I cannot tell you’. They admitted me, but there is no bed, and I have to wait in the ER for a whole day and there is still no bed. For a district like Blacktown with so many people living here, it is very shocking to see how difficult it is to access medical services. Dont bother going to Blacktown ER even if you arrive by ambulance they will leave you there to die

Have had to unfortunately come to Blacktown emergency multiple times over the past year for both myself and my daughter. Was treated very promptly (CRP indicated sepsis). I was so terrified I was dying and they saved my life. I know people aren't happy with the care they receive here sometimes, but they don't seem to understand that the nurses and doctors are often working on people who are actively dying, or telling family members the worst news they'll ever hear. Please be aware that the nursing staff are NOT at fault in this department but instead are hard working, kind people forced to work within a broken system which has deteriorated into 3rd world standards. We presented to ED after my daughter needed attention after complications from gallbladder removal 2 days prior. A stone had been left behind and blocked her bile duct resulting in rapid decline into liver failure.
