The most incredible hand-crafted, delicious biscuits with creme fraiche, yummy coffee, best steel cut oats with fruit plus great ambience. I've never had a bad experience there. Only drawback is the place gets packed and sometimes there's no where to sit which is a good problem to have! �
When in HTX Blacksmiths is my go to spot for great coffee and sausage biscuit for breakfast.
My favorite breakfast / afternoon snack in Houston when I need an hour to relax with a good book is at Blacksmith! A pot of Jasmine Pearl tea, brewed perfectly, and a scratch biscuit with creme fraiche and marmalade is simple perfection. I wish the inside were brighter and the employees were more friendly but that hasn't kept me away.
Afreakinmazing!! After selling my house in Austin, I never thought I would enjoy great coffee on a regular basis again....til I discovered Blacksmith. No place like it around!
Staff was not friendly or welcoming at all, cashier had an attitude like she did not want to be there. Was rushing us, and made us sound dumb when we wanted to modify our food because we don't eat meat. Place does not have ketchup, forgot our order. Over all the experience wasn't really pleasant. Will never return there again.
The BLT sandwich was my favorite! A thick wheat(?) and seed bun with arugula, green tomatoes, some sort of avocado dressing, and thick pieces of bacon� With the cold brew iced coffee, I think I need it with milk, because drinking it black with vanilla flavor was a bit bitter for me. Other than that, great atmosphere and friendly baristas! Nice and quiet.
