About this business

The epitome of simplicity is characterized by this neighborhood glass-front eatery. It looks as if Miles van de Rohe designed the interior. Thus, the dining room can come off stark and barren in the name of hipness, but the menu offerings more than make Start with the signature Endive Salad blended with watercress, boiled potato and feathery greens. Rack of Lamb, Sea and Grilled Venison are just a few samples of the gourmet palate pleaser.

Halibut was terrific – I would go back and will go back for the halibut. Not many places in the city that serve it like they do.

delicious food – i had the halibut, it was yummy. the lamb was awesome too. The only thing I didn't like was the noise and seatings were really close to each other. I feel like I was eating with the two couples next to us. Haha.

Fine Dining in the West Loop – Fantastic meal - each course was wonderful. If you're on a budget, definitely head on over for the $22 prix fixe 3-course lunch. My party of four tried each dish on the prix fixe menu and they were all beautifully presented. The sturgeon for my entree was a little overcooked, but in general, each dish was impeccably thought out and the details really made this place spectacular. They even brought us hooks for our purses so we could hang them on the table and not put them on the floor. The resta... read more

Yes I like it – Just a fun, elegant place to have a dinner .. pamper yourself. Enjoy the food, the deserts, and wine

Trendy – I have been going here since they opened and liked it better then. Now, it seems like the servers have bad attitudes. The tables are so close together that it is hard talk privately. The wine list is way overpriced. I had a glass of wine that was not good and when I sent it back they treated me like I was crazy. The food is usually still pretty good but the attitudes need to change!

Avoid this restaurant – Some of my friends recommended this restaurant but is was not a good experience. The service was poor and the food was terrible with the exception of the endive salad. As a main course I tried the "Black Bird" sandwich which consisted of a tiny piece of white fish on a soggy piece of toast served with some chips. The fish tasted like it had been marinated in spice mustard for 2 days. The worst part of the meal was the dessert. I ordered the chocolate fritters which were 3 marble sized deep fried choco... read more

Forgettable – Wow. And no, not in a good way. The food was not cooked poorly but prepared poorly; under-seasoned,bland, tasteless. The crowd; as bland as the food. The space; excellent if you are a minimalist. The service however was outstanding. In short, worth every penny if it were free (and one had never eaten here before).

Modern Paul Kahan spot on Restaurant Row gathers foodies for swank, seasonal bites. – Space age in feel, this narrow, minimalist West Loop restaurant showcases highly seasonal fare its uber-hip following is all too happy to lap up, in close proximity, from their mod bucket-style chairs. On-point servers scuttle from sleek the white bar to the bank of tables lining the left wall, delivering thought-provoking wines that make sauerkraut bisque with house-made squab prosciutto sing. Finales live up to the hype, with choices like... read more
