My husband and I will return to Black Oak Grill. We had great service, the food was wholesome and the prices very reasonable.

We went here last night for dinner. The place is very nice and wait staff attentive. Menu focused on comfort style food but our entrees were bland. Our choices were grilled meatloaf and chicken fried chicken. The portions were good but no seasoning at all on the breading for the chicken and the breading fell off. No seasoning on the vegetables. But the garlic mashed potatoes were definitely garlicy - almost too much for our tastes.

My first impression of Black Oak Grill was a very nice looking restaurant almost upscale looking. The prices were very reasonable and the food was excellent, I had the Iron Skillet Trout, it was very good and a big portion, very filling. They actually had a lot of good looking menu items. I'll definitely be back for more delicious items.

My wedding was this past Friday, and my in-laws opted to have our rehearsal dinner at Black Oak Grill. Because my husband and I most recently moved to Omaha, we didn't have the opportunity to have a proper sit-down meal here before the rehearsal. I was absolutely blown away by the wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food. Since I've been here 3 times and every time the food and employees were outstanding, I had to do this 5 star review. I don't do many reviews however I couldn't let this one slide. Today I finally had that Husker burger and I see why this half pound monster is considered Omaha's best.
