I started my Jiu-jitsu journey at Black Lion about two years ago, on the recommendation of my friend who had already been there for a couple years. I've been in Martial arts majority of my life, I can say out of all the gyms I have circulated and experienced, Black Lion is the one that feels home. The atmosphere is very open and welcoming, there's a lot of thought and passion in each lesson, by both coaches (Chad or Justin). I personally love the hard work that goes into the students, and how uneasy it is to achieve merit, as it takes great knowledge, discipline, technique, and time.
