RecommendedAs a CNA for over 5 years, my back started to give out in the beginning of this year and that’s when I asked for help from Dr. Jess and Dr. Jake. They have been absolutely helpful and resourceful. I’m so glad I came here because they don’t just treat the problem, they really get into the depth of the issue. My back, health and energy has improved so much since I started and I’m so thankful for doctors like them! The office is a positive environment to recharge and feel good for the rest of your day!
Dr. Jake and Dr. Jess are hands down the best! Having recently moved to Iowa from California I had tried numerous other providers and have never been anywhere that the doctors are as thorough as these two. They both take the time to listen and explain your care in great depth which is easy to understand. I have bilateral hip replacements and 2 disc replacements in my neck...I would not trust anyone else to handle my care! My husband and I are grateful we found this place. THANK YOU BOTH!!!
Drs. Jake and Jess are amazing! They helped me when I had wrenched my knee on a trampoline (I should have known better!). I was back to normal quickly thanks to their help. Also, I went to Dr. Jess for a painful elbow. She used acupuncture and relieved my pain. I highly recommend them both!

Black and Gold is amazing! The atmosphere is so laid back and non-assuming, it’s easy to be comfortable even if you’re not familiar with chiropractic care. Dr. Jake and Dr. Jess are so patient and knowledgeable, and they really try to get to the root of your problems and truly correct your issues, from the inside, out. They set up a care plan with stages for you with different exercises and activities to do to make sure you get the best out of your experience. I’m glad I found Black and Gold!
everyone at Black&Gold is SO kind and knowledgeable about different treatments and wellness outcomes. i started at Black&Gold unable to turn my head or twist my spine too much, which affected work, school, driving, sleeping.. almost everything in my life. After just 1 visit, I started recovering. Now after almost a month of seeing Dr. Jess and Dr. Jake, I am almost 100% recovered!
Dr. Jess and Dr. Jake are both so friendly and very good at making you feel comfortable and understand what they are doing. It's obvious that they truly care about all of their patients overall health. Their vital shift workshops teach you about all the ways that having your spine in alignment helps all other bodily functions.
