I had a great time here
The atmosphere is homey and comfortable. The service is always friendly and attentive. They brew their own beer, which you can see from the bar area, so their beer is very good and changes by the season. I'm never disapointed with a visit to Black Forest Brew Haus.
My go to entree is the Tafelspitz which is marinated beef sliced and smothered in creamy horseradish sauce. Served with potato dumplings and red cabbage. The horseradish sauce is to die for, I think you could put it over anything and make it delicious. I have been to BFBH many times now and each time, it is so good. This is definitely the place to go for authentic delicious German food.
the food is good and the beer is even better. I highly recommend the Rouladen which is vegetables and pickles rolled up in beef OMG it is good. Served with red cabbage which is ok and potato dumplings WITH gravy that is amazing IMO. When I am having my salty/carby cravings this dish is beyond perfect. Love this place. Been going here for close to 4 years now. I almost hate to review this place, cause i've always felt like its 'my secret place' which im sure a lot of other people feel this way too. They beer is great, my fav is the Hefewiezen, easily. They def have a bavarian feel to them. Hostess, waitresses, and bartenders are extremely nice. Black Forest Brew Haus in Farmingdale is a good place to go for drinks with friends. Good imported beers and mixed drinks. Bar tenders nice. Clean atmosphere. I would recommend this place to others.
The beers are excellent, so I recommend this place as a bar for Happy Hour. They also have an excellent dueling pianos program occasionally.
