I like the authentic looking German atmosphere. The service was good. The home brewed beer was good
Went for a late nite meal. The meals were good, the sausage sliders were appetizing and filling. The entrees offered are varied to suit most any taste. They brew their own beer here, I chose the Heffenweiise which was quite tasty. The meals are prepared authentic which echo the Bavarian cooking style though toned more to the American palate. You will be pleasantly surprised.
I do usually see the same cast of characters hanging out at the bar. I like the fact that you can join their club and hang your own beer stein on the bar wall. I don't know the facts about it but I believe you pay a yearly fee and then pay less for the beer when you visit. I have never tried their free buffet on Fridays but it seems popular. This is one of my favorite places to bring someone who has never been there. I like their beer sampler to start just to try all they have to offer. Then just top that off with 1 or 2 of your favorites and you will be feeling good. As for the food? Why not start with a loaded potato pancake with sour cream and apple sauce. You probably wont even have room for dinner but I have had their steak sandwich on pretzel bread and it was very good.
Their Sunday brunch includes several hot and cold breakfast foods and a good sampling of German treats. They also have a carving board with two meats and an assortment of desserts. After eating indoors, we caught some live Oktoberfest music this afternoon, bringing our drinks outside to enjoy the entertainment. I want to sample the rest of the beers, and come when an oompa band is playing, or on a dueling piano night. In short, this place has much more to offer me for future visits.
My wife had Captain Crunch fried chicken. I had a piece and it was glorious.
The food: I had hops smoked ribs that were delicious, incredibly messy, and...wait for it...it's coming...Falling. Off. The. Bone.
